R/C Tank Combat

Green War

Battle #2 Summary

Scenario - Town Rebellion
With the Green Coalition successfully hauling all trash to the recycling center during the first battle, the residents of Greensburg were outraged and vowed to take back their town and their way of life. Their goal, to take all the trash from the recycling center and throw it into the center of town to make a statement. With the Tiger and Hetzer out of commission from the first battle, Frank took over the conrols of the Navarone Gun and Joe would operate his Mule supply vehicle.

Team Selection
The teams were manned as follows:

Green Coalition
John Pittelli (Comet), Marty Hayes (Leopard), Rob Snyder (Tiger), Frank Pittelli (Navarone), Paul Pittelli (KV-1 Supply)

Greensburg
Will Montgomery (SU-100), Doug Conn (Tiger), Tom Lum (M1A1), Steve Tyng (Cromwell), Sean Marlow (Goer), John Marlow (Goer), Joe Sommer (Mule), Mike Lyons (Rocket Man)

Battle Summary
Much like the first battle in which the residents of Greensburg were plagued by mechanical failures while defending their town, the Green Coalition experienced mechanical failures themselves while trying to defend the town from trash dumping. The Comet, Leopard and Tiger were rarely on the field at the same time and never really mustered enough of a force to do much against the Greensburg combat vehicles which surrounded the town. Steve's Cromwell owned the high ground and kept raining in paintballs on anything moving, as well as the soldiers guarding the Navarone Gun. Will, Doug and Tom also roamed the battle ground engaging anything that moved.

With only the Navarone Gun operating most of the time, the supply vehicles for Greensburg quickly and easily transfered trash from the recycling center to the center of town. The Navarone Gun was well supplied with paint, but the marker was firing weakly and many paintballs were bouncing off the targets being hit. All in all, a weak defense by the Green Coalition and an overwhelming victory by the residents of Greensburg.

Scoring
The Greensburg residents successfully moved all of the trash containers from the recycling center back into town to receive maximum mission points. They also completely dominated the number of hits on combat vehicles, earning high net points as well. The only bright spot for the Green Coalition was the large number of supply runs made by the KV-1 operating as a supply vehicle, keeping the Navarone Gun well supplied with paintballs.
