The rear of the turret is made from a solid piece of wood and was cut on the tablesaw to the desired angles. |

The turret is finally on the tank! this is just a preview though, as the barrel is not mounted on the mantle, but just placed inside the turret. But, IT LOOKS LIKE AN ABRAMS! |

These cosmetic pieces on the turret are just for looks, but it adds realism. You can tell it is an M1-A2 because of the Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer. (The round thing on the bottom left.) |

The barrel is finally mounted! as you can see, the mantle turned out quite well and fully supports the barrel. The chain on the front is not structurally sound. |
